If you are a die-hard fan of paan, then today we have brought for you an interesting story of a paanwala who has been registered in the Guinness Book of World Records not for his paan but because of his huge collection of bells from 169 countries. And attracts customers from all over Mumbai.
Actually, there is a small paan shop in Lokmanya Tilak Nagar of Borivali area of Mumbai, which is famous by the name of Ghanta Paanwala. Vinod Kumar Tiwari, the owner of this shop, told the Local18 team that he has been selling paan here for many years. He said that here before giving paan to the customers, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
450 bells from 169 countries collected
Apart from this, whenever we sell paan in a day, we ring a bell once. Being pleased with them, the customers started giving them bells as gifts. Let us tell you that every customer who goes abroad definitely brings a bell from there and then gives the same bell as a gift. By doing this he collected 450 bells from 169 countries, since then his name has been registered in the Guinness World Records.
More than 150 types of paan
Shop owner Vinod Kumar Tiwari said that 159 types of sweet paan are available at this stall. Among these, Kolkata Meetha Paan, Chocolate Meetha, Ice Gola, Ras Malai Paan, Chhapan Bhog Paan and Dry Fruit Paan are very famous. The most famous dish here is Maghai Meetha Paan, which people come from far and wide to eat. Its price is only Rs 50.
