PAK vs NZ: Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has started taking action as soon as he became the selector of the men’s team. Afridi, while meeting with captain Babar Azam, has made changes in the team for the Test series against New Zealand. Afridi has included Mir Hamza, Sajid Khan and Shahnawaz Dahani in the team. After selecting the players in the team, Afridi has told that he felt the need to strengthen the bowling and that is why this decision has been taken.

Mir Hamza played the only Test against Australia in October 2018, while Sajid, who played seven Tests, came against Australia earlier this year. Sajid has so far taken 22 wickets, including eight for 42 against Bangladesh in Dhaka last year. Dahani is yet to make his Test debut.

Pakistan squad- Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafiq, Abrar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Ghulam, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Shahnawaz Dahani, Shan Masood and Zahid Mehmood.

Change in tour schedule

In view of the fog, the PCB has made changes in the schedule of the series against New Zealand. The second Test will now be played in Karachi instead of Multan. After the two-match Test series, the three-match ODI series is also to be played in Karachi, which means that now all the matches will be played in the same city. The second Test and ODI series will now be played a day before the scheduled date. While the second Test will be played from January 2, the matches of the ODI series will be played on January 9, 11 and 13.
