Pakistan 3 terrorists including ISIS commander arrested explosives and weapons recovered


Pakistani Terrorist Arrested: Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies have arrested three alleged terrorists, including an important ISIS commander, in the country’s Punjab province. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab Police said in a statement that three ISIS terrorists were arrested during intelligence-based operations in Faisalabad, Jhelum and Chakwal cities.

The CTD said that an important ISIS commander Abdul Wahab was among the arrested terrorists. The other two ISIS terrorists have been identified as Saifullah and Khurram Abbas. According to the statement, explosives and weapons have been recovered from the suspects. The arrested people have been taken to an unknown place for further investigation.

38 terrorists arrested last month

Last month, the CTD arrested 38 suspected terrorists in Punjab province, most of whom belonged to ISIS and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Meanwhile, the Counter-Terrorism Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police killed four terrorists on Saturday (August 3).

These terrorists were planning a major attack in the troubled northwestern province. This encounter took place in Mardan district of the province. After this, heavy firing took place in which four terrorists were killed. A CTD official said that the identity of the killed terrorists is being ascertained. They were planning a major attack in the district.

Attack on convoy of judges a day before

Terrorists on Friday (August 2, 2024) attacked a convoy of judges returning home after duty in northwest Pakistan. Tight security arrangements were made when the convoy of judges was heading towards their homes after duty in the courts of Tank district in Dera Ismail Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, but despite this, armed terrorists ambushed them.
