Muqtedar Khan on Asaduddin Owaisi: Professor in the Department of International Relations at the University of Delaware in the US and the founding director of the Islamic Studies Program, Prof. Muktedar Khan has said that AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi raises the voice of Muslims in Indian politics. Professor Muktdar Khan said that Asaduddin Owaisi believes that the rights given to Muslims in the constitution are ending in vote bank politics.
Owaisi united the Muslim vote?
Professor Muktdar Khan, Founding Director of the Islamic Studies Program at Delaware University, America, said during a conversation with journalist Shakeel Chowdhary that Asaduddin Owaisi believes that the voice of Muslims is being drowned in vote bank politics. Mukdar Khan said that Muslim votes get divided between Congress and Owaisi’s party. Even in the elections held in UP, the opposition parties did not make any special announcement for the Muslims. Professor Muktdar Khan further said that BJP holds the vote bank of Hindus. In recent times, BJP is trying to woo the Pasmanda Muslim community in a very smart way. Congress used Muslims as vote bank. Some Muslims accuse Owaisi of being the B team of BJP. Owaisi’s party has a strong hold on the backward, fearful and uneducated people among Muslims.
