Pakistan Police Inspector General: Pakistan’s police system is quite different from India. This difference is clearly visible in its recruitment, training and salary structure. Here we will tell you how Pakistan’s police system is different from India’s system and what is the salary of police officers there.
Recruitment and training
Police officers in Pakistan are recruited through the Federal Public Service Commission, which is a tough examination process just like in India. It includes the selection process for higher ranks like Inspector General, DG Intelligence Bureau, DG Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and SP. Selected officers receive training for 6 months at the Civil Service Academy located in Lahore and 18 months at the National Police Academy, Islamabad.
Structure of the police system
According to the report, Pakistan’s police system operates in four provincial governments (Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan) and the Islamabad Capital Territory. Each province has its own police force and a Commissioner of Police, who holds the rank of Inspector General. The total strength of Pakistan’s police force is 2,10,000, while the strength of India’s police force is 19,26,000.
salary difference
Talking about salary, there is a huge difference between Pakistan and India. In Pakistan, the monthly salary of a policeman ranges from 22,000 to 76,800 Pakistani rupees, while an average police officer earns Rs 48,300 per month. On the other hand, the salary structure in India is very different. According to the 7th Pay Commission, the salary of a constable in Uttar Pradesh Police is Rs 60,600 per month, while the salary of a DIG is Rs 2,01,000 per month.

Comparison of Indian and Pakistani police systems
India’s police system is much larger and more complex than Pakistan’s. India has separate police forces in its 28 states, while Pakistan has police services in only four provinces. The process of salary and increment in India is also more systematic and comprehensive, which is quite different from Pakistan.
