Pakistan-America: Pakistan has rejected America’s suggestions. Pakistan has reprimanded America for demanding an investigation into the irregularities in the elections held on February 8. Pakistan said that Pakistan is not a country that bows down to the orders of any foreign country. During her weekly address on Friday, Pakistani Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Bahra Baloch said, ‘No country, independent and sovereign country can give orders to Pakistan.’

What did Pakistan say to America?
According to Dawn News, Mumtaz said, ‘We believe in our sovereign right to take decisions in the internal affairs of Pakistan.’ Mumtaz Baloch has given such statements when her American counterpart had talked about pushing forward the demands of investigation in Pakistan’s elections. Earlier in the week, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller had said that ‘claims of irregularities during the elections should be investigated in a transparent manner in accordance with Pakistani law.’ Matthew Miller also said that ‘We want to see the investigation into the alleged rigging moving forward, and want to see it end soon.

Imran Khan had demanded investigation in the elections
In fact, in the recent elections held in Pakistan, Imran Khan had strongly alleged rigging. Imran Khan Had demanded America to interfere in the elections. Many candidates supporting Imran had also approached the court on allegations of rigging. The Election Commission of Pakistan also took a lot of time to declare the results. Now the dates of presidential elections in Pakistan have also been announced.

Presidential election dates announced in Pakistan
Announcing the presidential election on Friday, the Election Commission of Pakistan has set the voting date for March 9. It is considered certain that former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari will become the President once again after almost 11 years. At present, Dr. Arif Alvi is holding the post of President in Pakistan. According to the Election Commission, from 12 noon on Saturday, candidates can file nomination in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta. Applications will be scrutinized on March 4.
