Palak Paneer Recipe: Palak paneer curry is often prepared for any special occasion. Ingredients to make Palak Paneer curry
Spinach – 1/2 kg
Paneer cubes – 1 cup
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Onion finely chopped – 1/2
Tomato chopped – 1
Garlic cloves – 1
Green chili – 3-4
Cumin – 1 tsp
Cloves – 3-4
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Bay leaf – 1
Kasuri methi – 2 tsp
Butter – 1 tsp
pod cardamom – 2
Cream – 2 tbsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 3-4 tsp
salt – as per taste
How to make Palak Paneer curry
To make Palak Paneer curry, first break the spinach leaves and separate the thick stalks. After this, put 6-7 cups of water in a vessel and heat it. After the water becomes hot, put spinach leaves in it and boil for some time on medium flame. When the color of spinach starts changing and the leaves become very soft, then turn off the gas. After this, remove the spinach leaves from hot water and wash them under cold water.
When the spinach cools down completely, put it in a mixer jar and grind it by adding garlic, ginger and green chillies. After the smooth paste of spinach is ready, take it out from the mixer jar and transfer it to a big bowl. Now put butter and oil in a pan and heat it. After melting the butter, add paneer pieces and fry them till they turn golden brown. After this, take out the paneer pieces in a bowl.
Now put some more oil in the pan and heat it. After the oil is hot, add cumin, cinnamon, bay leaves and other spices and sauté. When the spices start giving aroma, add finely chopped onion and fry. After the onion turns light pink, add chopped tomatoes to it and cook till it becomes soft. Now cook the spinach paste prepared in a pan and add a little water.

After some time, when the gravy starts boiling, add salt as per taste and mix it with a spoon. After this add fried paneer pieces to the gravy and mix it well with the gravy. Cook the vegetable for another 5 minutes, then turn off the gas. Palak paneer curry, full of flavour, is ready. Add fresh cream, kasoori methi and garam masala to it. Palak paneer can be served with roti, paratha, naan or rice.
