Ingredients for Paneer Kofta

for kofta
Grated paneer – 1 cup
Potatoes boiled grated – 2
Mawa – 1/2 cup
Flour – 50 grams
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Red chili – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin – 1 tsp
Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
Mustard oil – 3 tbsp
Raisins – 2 tbsp
salt – as per taste

for gravy
Tomato puree – 1 cup
Curd – 1/2 cup
Milk – 100 grams
Onion chopped – 2
Ginger-garlic paste – 4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1.5 tsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Bay leaves – 2
Cloves – 10
Cumin – 2 tsp
Cinnamon – 2 pieces
Green cardamom – 6
Big cardamom – 2
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Refined oil – 3 tbsp

Paneer Kofta Recipe
To make Paneer Kofta, first boil the potatoes and peel them and grate them. After this, take a big mixing bowl and add grated potatoes, grated cheese and mawa and mix it well. After this add cumin, coriander, raisins, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste and salt as per taste to this mixture and mix them all well. After this add green coriander leaves and mustard oil and knead the mixture well.
Knead the mixture until a hard paste is formed. After this, put oil in a pan and heat it. After the oil is hot, put koftas made of paste in it and fry them. Take out the prepared koftas in a plate.

Now put refined oil in the pan and heat it. Add all the dry whole spices including bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon and fry for 1 minute. After this add onion, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, red chili powder and salt and mix it. Fry the onion till it turns light pink. After this add tomato puree and milk and let it cook. When the gravy gets cooked a little, add curd and sugar to it and mix.

Now cover the pan and let the gravy cook on low flame for 15 minutes. After this add fried koftas to the gravy and mix. Cook the vegetable for 5 more minutes and then turn off the gas. Tasteful paneer koftas are ready. Serve it by adding green coriander leaves and lemon juice.
