Nayab Udhas, daughter of the late ghazal singer, shared a post on Instagram on Monday and shared information related to his funeral. Nayab wrote, “In loving memory of Padmashree Pankaj Udhas, with a very heavy heart, we announce your demise at the age of 26 due to prolonged illness. We are sad to announce his demise on February 27, 2024. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, February 27 from 3 to 5 pm, Venue: Hindu Crematorium, Worli (Mumbai) Landmark Opposite, Four Seasons: Dr. E Mews Road, Worli, Udhas family.”4
Anup Jalota became emotional remembering Pankaj Udhas
Bhajan singer Anoop Jalota remembered his close relationship with the late ghazal singer and also became emotional. Speaking to news agency ANI, he said, “I have lost my friend. People have lost Pankaj Udhas, a great ghazal singer. I have lost my friend Pankaj (Udhas), Talat (Aziz The trio of ) and I was very famous. We did many concerts together. I am very sad on the demise of Pankaj Udhas. He took Ghazal to every home and made a place for himself in the hearts of people. It was a great contribution. And it can never be forgotten.”
