Naman, a girl living in Azad Nagar Colony, took the initiative to give a strong message to the daughters in the society by performing the horse riding ritual in her marriage. On this occasion, Naman roamed around the entire city with the band. This initiative of the bride is being discussed in full swing in the entire area, and the video of this unique step is also going viral on social media.
Naman’s father Vikram made his daughter sit on a mare like a son and took out a procession in the entire city. Naman is an assistant branch manager in a health insurance company in Dehradun. To make the wedding memorable, the family performed the horse riding ceremony in a grand manner. During this time, family, relatives and friends also participated and danced vigorously to the tune of drums.
Initiative to give message to society
Naman told that the purpose of this unique ritual was to give a message to the society that daughters can also follow every tradition like sons. He said, “In our society, daughters are kept within limits. I wanted my marriage to be a symbol of my ideology and to show that daughters can also follow their traditions in their own way.”

Local Pandit Kapil Sharma said that there is no mention of girl riding in the scriptures. However, he appreciated Naman’s step and said that if daughters do such work to bring awareness in the society, then it is a commendable initiative.
