To stop the communal violence in Parachinar area, the Pakistani administration has imposed curfew in the entire area and mobile services have also been stopped. All business and educational institutions have been closed in Parachinar area. This entire area is located near the border of Afghanistan, where large-scale incidents of violence between Shia-Sunni Muslims have already taken place.

Sunni Muslims attacked Shia Muslims

Thousands of Shia Muslims took to the streets on Friday (22 November) in Parachinar area. Earlier, Shia Muslims were going from Peshawar to Parachinar with a convoy of about 200 vehicles. During this time, Sunni armed groups attacked him with heavy weapons in Bagan town.

History of violence between Shia and Sunni Muslims in Pakistan

According to AFP report, the situation is very tense in the entire area. For this reason mobile service has been stopped. Eyewitnesses say that Sunni groups started firing on Shia Muslims. Due to which a large number of people became casualties. The attack lasted for about 30 minutes. According to Dawn newspaper, 16 people were injured in this incident, out of which 11 are in critical condition. The Shia Muslim group is enraged after this violence. The Deputy Commissioner of Kurram has confirmed the death toll.
