According to The Sun’s report, the world found under the sea has a sunken city of 177 hectares, which is said to be about 2000 years old. However, its condition looks quite good as per the time. Many big statues are present on the sea surface here. There is a beautiful marble floor at a surface 20 feet below the sea, which is believed to be the reception of the villa. According to the Archaeological Park of the Phlegraean Fields, this city is believed to be of the third century, which is being called Baiya.
The city looks quite modern
It is believed that rich people would have come here for private trips. This would have been a fashionable seaside resort, around which only the rich people of Rome would have come to roam. Famous people like Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, Sisera and Hadrian would also have visited this ancient city. A researcher named John Smout claims that Cleopatra would also have visited this place. With time, this luxurious city sank due to hydrothermal and seismic activities.
