A truck carrying 17 tonnes of iron sheets left for Bhagalpur from Tata Stock Yard located at Baikatpur in Khusrupur block of Patna district, but it did not reach Bhagalpur. After this, a lot of search was done by the staff of Tata Stock Yard, but neither the truck nor the truck driver was found. After that, an FIR was lodged in the police station by the truck owner Prabhakar Sharma alias Bam Singh, a resident of Duanni Tola, Baikatpur. After that, the police team has started investigating the case by registering a case against unknown people. At present, the police have arrested all the accused involved in the case.
According to the information, the police investigated with the help of technical assistance and arrested Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Bhagwanpur village of Bachhwara police station area of Begusarai district, who was involved in this incident. Accused Pankaj said that our nephew Vikas Kumar, son of Arjun Rai, along with his friends Rahul Raj, resident of Gaggubigha, Fatuha, Rajkumar, resident of Daniyawa, Gaurav Kumar and Ravish Kumar, resident of Khusrupur, Bablu Kumar, resident of Lalganj, killed truck driver Kundan Kumar and threw him on the roadside on Sonpur Chhapra highway. A case of recovery of his unidentified body was registered in Sonpur police station.
All the accused involved in this case were arrested and during the investigation it was found that driver Kundan’s friend Vikas was the conspirator of this entire incident. He killed the driver and made the truck disappear. After that the criminals sold the iron sheets worth twenty eight lakh rupees loaded in the truck to Bablu Kumar for eleven lakh rupees. Bablu sent eight lakh rupees of this purchase to Vikas’s uncle in Axis Bank account and paid the remaining amount through PhonePe mobile app.
Daniyawa SDPO Pankaj Kumar informed in a press conference that a total of eight people involved in this case have been arrested. Also, iron sheets have been recovered. A pickup truck has been recovered which was used in this incident. But the truck has not been recovered. Also, all the accused have been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
