Kalyanpur resident Rohit Kumar alias Titu (26) died in a tragic accident on Bakhtiyarpur-Fathuha State Highway in Patna late on Tuesday night. While Anuj Kumar, resident of Dariyapur was seriously injured. This accident happened when the speeding bike went out of control and crashed near Dariyapur gas warehouse. As soon as information about the incident was received, local people and police reached the spot and made arrangements to take the injured to the hospital. The police sent the body for post-mortem and started investigating the case.
Family members told that Titu was returning home late at night after attending some function of his family. Suddenly a person came in front of the bike on the way. While trying to save him, Titu lost his balance and the bike met with an accident. The local people showed promptness and took the injured Titu and Anuj to the nearest hospital. Seeing Titu’s serious condition there, he was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for better treatment. However, Titu died on the way to the hospital.
There is mourning in the family due to Titu’s untimely death. His family members are in bad condition and crying. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village and the incident has created a sad atmosphere in the entire area. Police have seized the accident bike from the spot and preliminary investigation has raised suspicion of negligent driving. This accident has once again brought to the fore the need for awareness and vigilance towards traffic rules on the highway.
