The incident pertains to Durga temple located in Sarari of Danapur Shahpur police station area. A sudden fire broke out on Thursday. Shahpur police station in-charge Samrat Deepak said that Durga Maa’s temple is located in Sarari village and on Thursday some anti-social elements had set fire to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple for the purpose of mischief. Due to this, the worship material and clothes kept in the temple were burnt and destroyed. He told that the situation is under control. The miscreants are being searched. Help is also being taken from the local people in this matter. Adequate security arrangements are being made to prevent such incidents from happening in the temple.
