Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services (PCS) Preliminary Examination-2024 will be held on Sunday at 1331 centers in the state. For the first time this is going to happen in all 75 districts. The examination will be held in two sessions from 9:30 to 11:30 am and 2:30 to 4:30 pm. There will be General Studies paper in the first session and CSAT paper in the second session.

576154 candidates have applied for recruitment to 220 posts of PCS. After the paper leak in RO/ARO preliminary examination of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), UPPSC is going to be the biggest and prestigious examination. In such a situation, the biggest challenge for the Commission and the administrative system will be the security of the question papers. All arrangements have been made for this.

Question papers will be kept in digital locker boxes and delivered to the examination centres. This time one static and one sector magistrate have been deployed at each centre. Whereas, earlier the duty of a Sector Magistrate was imposed on three examination centres. Irish scanning will be done for the identification of every candidate. To confirm this, after the completion of this process, holograms will be pasted on the admit cards of the candidates.
