The era in which we are living today is called Kalyug. According to Hindu scriptures, 3 eras, namely Satyayug, Tretayug and Dwaparyug, have passed so far. The era which is going on now is Kaliyug. According to the Puranas, the world will end with Kaliyug. In Kaliyug, sin and adharma will increase more than in other eras. But do you know when Kaliyug started?
Kalyug
According to the scriptures, adharma and sin will increase in Kaliyug. The wrong things and adharma that we are experiencing around us right now will increase further in the coming times. In Kaliyug, man will suffer the consequences of his deeds and will face unseasonal rains, storms, water crisis. It is believed that the world will end with the end of Kaliyug. Lord Krishna has told in the Gita that there will be 4 eras on earth. There is Satyayug, Tretayug, Dwaparyug and Kaliyug. According to the Gita, in the Satyug, religion was prevalent on earth. In the Tretayug, along with religion, irreligion will also prevail. In the Dwaparyug, irreligion and sin have made their place on earth. Right now in the Kaliyug, there is more sin on earth than religion. It has also been said in the Gita that whenever sin increases on earth, God will definitely come to do the welfare of the earth.
How many years of Kaliyug
It has been told in the Gita that the Kaliyug is of 4 lakh 32 thousand years. Whereas till now only 5122 years of Kaliyug have been completed. In such a short number of years of Kaliyug, it seems as if sins have reached their peak. But in the terrible Kaliyug, there will be acid rain on the earth, due to which plants and animals will be destroyed and humans will eat each other to satisfy their hunger. At the same time, the importance of money will increase in Kaliyug and religion, mercy and humanity will completely end on earth. At the same time, family relationships will be just in name. During this time the Vedas will be misinterpreted. During this time children will not serve their parents. As Kalyug progresses, hunger, diseases, heat, cold, storms and snowfall, floods will be at their peak on earth and finally the world will come to an end.
Kaliyug
According to the Puranas, only a few thousand years have passed since the beginning of Kalyug, whereas this era is of 432,000 human years. According to modern time calculations, Kaliyug began in 3102 BC, when five planets Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn were at 0 degrees in Aries. Scholars believe that till now 3102+2024= 5126 years of Kalyug have passed. Right now only the first phase of Kalyug is going on.
