A mystery cat has gone viral after discovering that people living in a care home are dying. The cat named Oscar was taken to a retirement home in Rhode Island, USA, where he was initially kept alone. The clever animal predicted the death of more than 100 people, and spent much time with them in their last days. But recently when people remembered him again on social media, some interesting things came to light.
According to an anonymous Reddit user, Oscar will provide comfort to these individuals before they pass away. The post wrote that Oscar the cat was adopted by Steer House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, United States.
“He was adopted as a therapy cat so that the people who worked there would realize that he didn’t spend much time with any of the residents and mostly kept to himself. But, one day he showed great interest in one resident in particular and showed great love towards him. The man died soon after a few days.

The staff soon realized that he only spent time with them when he somehow knew they were in their last moments. During his life, Oscar correctly predicted the death of more than 100 people, and consoled them in their last moments. He himself died on February 22, 2022, at the age of 17.
But recently when this badge was remembered on social media, users made some interesting revelations in the comments. Some people on Reddit said that cats have the ability to recognize someone who is dying.
One said, “This actually happened when our house cat, Louie, started spending time at the woman’s house. “The woman’s daughter panicked and demanded the cat be removed, feeling that her presence meant her mother was dying. Unfortunately, the cat was right.” Many people shared such experiences.
