A total of six bullets hit the three terrorists killed in the police encounter in Pilibhit. In this, Jasanpreet Singh was hit by one bullet, Varinder by two and Gurvinder by three bullets. The bullet exited inside Jasanpreet’s body, while the bullets of the remaining two terrorists had passed through them. This became clear after the post-mortem. However, doctors and police officials have not officially issued any statement in this matter.

Post-mortem of the bodies of the three pro-Khalistan terrorists killed in the joint action of Punjab and UP Police was conducted on Tuesday. The postmortem started at around 2:30 pm and continued till late evening. During this period, police guarded the postmortem house. Police of Pilibhit and Punjab were present. After the postmortem, the family members left with the bodies of the three under the supervision of Punjab Police.
The police tried to conduct the post-mortem on Monday night itself, but DM Sanjay Kumar gave permission to conduct the post-mortem from 11 am on Tuesday, based on the condition of arrival of the family members. A panel of two doctors was formed. Video recording was done. After the arrival of the family members, the paperwork process was completed.
At around 2:30 the panel started the post-mortem. The post-mortem continued for about two hours. During this period, police remained deployed under the leadership of Kotwal Rajeev Kumar Singh. Punjab forces were also present at the post-mortem house throughout the day. After the post-mortem process was completed at around 6.30 pm, the family members left for Punjab with the body under the supervision of Punjab Police. CMO Dr. Alok Kumar also reached the post-mortem house, assessed the situation and completed the paperwork.
The family members said…their children never even fought.
The families of the three pro-Khalistan terrorists killed on Monday in a joint operation between Punjab and Pilibhit Police reached the post-mortem house in Pilibhit on Tuesday morning. The family members said that their sons’ names never came up even in the fight. They can’t do that. Punjab Police did not even come near the house for four days. Suddenly information of encounter was received, whatever happened is beyond belief.
