Do this work in Pitru Paksha
The entire house should be kept clean during Pitru Paksha. After remembering the ancestors, one should mix black sesame seeds etc. with food and offer it to the ancestors in their name. With this we get blessings from our ancestors. During Pitru Paksha, make sure to prepare the favorite food of the person for whom you are performing Shraddha. During Pitru Paksha, Brahmins must be fed food and they must be given Dakshina as per their capacity. By donating at this time the ancestors are pleased.
During Pitru Paksha, one should donate green grass for cows and money for their care in a cow shed. Make flour balls and feed them to the fishes in a pond. Dogs around the house should also be fed bread. Along with these, food should also be kept on the roof of the house for crows. At the time of Shraddha, a portion of food is also taken out for the ancestors, only then the Shraddha ritual is considered complete.
