Under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana, the Uttar Pradesh government is giving a grant of up to Rs 2.66 lakh to the farmers of the state for installing solar pumps. Regarding this, the state government has started the process of application for solar pump scheme. Apart from this, tokens will be issued again on October 10 to those farmers who had applied and were not able to deposit their share.
In the year 2024-25, 60 percent grant is being given to the farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Energy Security and Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM Kusum) Scheme. According to the scheme, on applying for solar pump, farmers will get benefits on first come first serve basis. The state government is giving a maximum rebate of Rs 2.66 lakh for installing solar pumps.

72 thousand solar pumps have been installed in the state
If we take a look at the data of Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department, 72,719 solar pumps have been given to farmers since the year 2017-18. The irrigation capacity of crops in about 2 lakh hectare area has been increased through the installed solar pumps. Whereas through these solar pumps, a reduction of 1.2 lakh MT per year in carbon emissions has been recorded. Apart from this, approximately 95000 liters of diesel is being saved per day through these solar pumps.
Now token will be issued on 10th October
Those farmers whose tokens were confirmed on June 25, 2024 and were supposed to deposit their share by July 9, 2024, but due to some reason some farmers have not been able to deposit their share, now the tokens for such farmers will be issued again on October 10. Will be issued from. Its message will be sent to the registered mobile number of the farmers, but farmers should be cautious of those calling and asking them to deposit the money.

This is the process of subsidy on solar pump
Farmers are being given rebate for solar pumps ranging from 2 horse power capacity to 10 horse power capacity. The government is giving a discount of Rs 1.03 lakh on a solar pump of 2 horse power capacity worth Rs 1,71,716. Apart from this, the farmer will have to deposit the remaining Rs 63,686. Similarly, the government is giving a discount of Rs 2.66 lakh on a solar pump of Rs 5,57,620 up to 10 horse power capacity. Whereas Rs 2.86 lakh and Rs 5 thousand token money will have to be given to the beneficiary farmer.
