Modi Government 100 Days: On Tuesday (17 September), on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA government is going to complete 100 days of its third term. PM Narendra Modi Lok Sabha Elections Even before the results of 2024, the agenda for the next 100 days after the formation of the government was decided by holding a meeting with top officials.

In the first 100 days of Modi Government 3.0, projects worth about Rs 15 lakh crore have been flagged off. These projects have been approved by the Modi government in many sectors including health, infrastructure, roads, railways, security, energy, technology.

Plan to connect 25000 villages with road network

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has approved infrastructure projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore during the first 100 days of its third term. These include connecting 25,000 villages with road network and construction of a port at Vadhavan in Maharashtra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi PM Modi took office for the third consecutive term on June 9 this year. The focus of the Modi government has been on providing stability on the policy front and a flexible approach has been adopted to adopt some changes to overcome teething problems without weakening the basic concept. An example of this is the Goods and Services Tax (GST), in which 140 changes have been made to reduce friction.

The port will be constructed at a cost of Rs 76,200 crore

The NDA government approved the mega Vadhavan port in Maharashtra at a cost of Rs 76,200 crore, which will be among the top 10 ports in the world. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana-4 (PMGSY-IV), construction/upgradation of 62,500 km of roads and bridges was approved to provide paved road connectivity to 25,000 villages with central assistance of Rs 49,000 crore. Many of these villages have a population of less than 100.

The government has also approved strengthening India’s road network with an investment of Rs 50,600 crore, including approval of eight national high-speed road corridor projects spanning 936 km. PM Modi also conducted the first blast to mark the start of construction work of the Shinkhun-la tunnel connecting Ladakh to Himachal Pradesh. The government has approved eight new railway line projects for faster and convenient travel by rail, which will generate 4.42 crore man-days of employment.

Decisions ranging from MSP on crops to Kisan Samman Nidhi

The new National Cooperative Policy has been drafted by a national level committee and is being finalised. The government also launched a new fund called ‘Agrisure’, which aims to revolutionise the agriculture sector and support startups and rural enterprises.

Apart from infrastructure, the government has also focused on agriculture and during this period it has increased the minimum support price (MSP) for Kharif crops, removed the minimum export price (MEP) on onion and basmati rice and increased the import duty on crude palm, soybean and sunflower oils. During these 100 days, the 17th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi was released.

Tax relief for the middle class and approval for 3 crore houses

Along with this, the middle class was also given relief of no tax on income up to Rs 7 lakh. Angel tax was abolished giving relief to startups. The limit of Mudra loan was increased from 10 lakh to 20 lakh. At the same time, 3 crore houses were approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. A package of two lakh crores was announced to promote employment and skill development of youth.

In the first 100 days of Modi Government 3.0, certificates were handed over to 11 lakh new Lakhpati sisters. So far, certificates have been given to 1 crore Lakhpati sisters, whose income is more than one lakh per annum. Along with this, in Modi Government 3.0, it was also announced to provide free insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh to all senior citizens aged 70 or above.
