With this, he has joined the selected leaders of the world who are using this platform. On this platform, the Prime Minister has shared a picture of himself with Donald Trump in his first post. This photo is of 2019, when Narendra Modi Went on a tour of America. This picture was taken in Houston. He initially followed Trump as well as US Vice President JD Vance. Shortly, the number of followers of Modi reached thousands. Trump also shared a video of Prime Minister Modi’s recent podcast on this platform.
Truth Social was launched in 2022
After losing the presidential election to Biden, Trump was banned by several social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook. After this, Trump started Truth Social in February 2022. Its functionality is exactly like X (in the east). Users can post ‘Truth’ and ‘Retrut’ on this platform. Apart from this, they also have the option to send direct messages. Advertisements on this platform are called ‘Sponsored Truth’.
Trump has a majority share of the company
The platform is owned by Trump Media and Technology Group, with 57 percent stake with Donald Trump. Apart from them, ARC Global Investment and some other investors have the rest of the company.
