Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that India has immense potential to become the health and wellness capital of the world and the day is not far when the world will adopt ‘Make in India’ as well as ‘Heal in India’. Modi made the remarks while laying the foundation stone of a new Central Ayurveda Research Institute building in Rohini and termed it as the next big leap for Ayurveda. Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav and other dignitaries were present at the ceremony.

The new facility spread over 2.92 acres with an investment of Rs 187 crore will have a 100-bed hospital dedicated to advancing Ayurveda research and providing healthcare services to the people, an official statement said. PM Modi said that the government is promoting traditional Indian medical systems like AYUSH and Ayurveda.
He said that in the last decade the AYUSH system has been expanded to more than 100 countries. PM Modi also highlighted that the first World Health Organization (WHO) institute related to traditional medicine is being set up in India. Saying that he had inaugurated the second phase of the All India Institute of Ayurveda a few weeks ago. PM Modi said that today the foundation of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute has been laid, for which he congratulated the people of Delhi.
PM Modi said that a special AYUSH visa facility has been launched to facilitate foreign nationals to get AYUSH treatment in India and within a short time hundreds of foreign nationals have benefited from this facility. Speaking at the event, Jadhav expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his leadership, saying, “This facility will advance research and quality healthcare, which will have a lasting impact on millions of people across the country.”
