Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (5 January 2025) laid the foundation stone of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute to be built at a cost of Rs 185 crore in Rohini, Delhi. Prime Minister to this institute Narendra Modi Described as the next big leap of Ayurveda. He participated in this program through video conferencing.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, this institute will be built on 2.92 acres and it will see innovation along with traditional medicine. Holistic treatment, specialized clinics and new opportunities for skill development will also be provided here. This institute will have a 100-bed research hospital, which will be dedicated to promoting Ayurveda research and providing health services.
‘Immense potential for India to become the health capital’
Prime Minister Modi said, India has immense potential to become the health and fitness capital of the world. The day is not far when along with ‘Make in India’ the world will also adopt ‘Heal in India’ as its mantra. PM Modi also said that the facility of AYUSH visa has been started to provide AYUSH treatment facility to foreigners. Hundreds of foreign citizens have benefited from this visa. He also informed that in the last decade, the AYUSH system has expanded to more than 100 countries and now the first World Health Organization (WHO) institute related to traditional medicine is also being established in India.
‘Will make significant contribution in the field of healthcare’
In this program, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of AYUSH, Prataprao Jadhav expressed his gratitude for the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and said that this new institute will make important contribution in the field of research and healthcare in the country. Secretary of the Ministry of AYUSH, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said that this institute is being established in Rohini after 46 years, which will provide high quality services in future and increase awareness about traditional medicine.
