PM Surya Ghar Yojana Subsidy: Before the elections, the debate regarding free electricity is intensifying, when the Central Government talked about providing 300 units of free electricity under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, the Delhi Government also announced its solar policy. Delhi government has claimed that after the implementation of this policy, no one will have to pay electricity bill in Delhi. That means everyone’s electricity bills will become zero. Applications are being sought for the scheme brought by the Central Government, whereas the Delhi Government says that LG has put a stop to their scheme. Today we will give you information about subsidy in both these schemes.

300 units of electricity free
First of all, let us talk about the Central Government’s PM Surya Ghar Yojana, in which the government’s target is to install rooftop solar panels on one crore houses. It has been told that these one crore families will be given 300 units of free electricity. The government is also giving huge subsidy for installation of solar panels.

Subsidy in central scheme
Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, if you install one to two kilowatt solar panel, then the government will give you a subsidy of Rs 30 thousand to Rs 60 thousand. Whereas if you install a solar panel of two to three kilowatts, then the subsidy you will get will range from Rs 60 thousand to Rs 78 thousand. Subsidy of Rs 78 thousand will be given on installation of solar panels of more than 3 kilowatts. Let us tell you that the price of one kilowatt solar panel is around Rs 80.

Incentive with subsidy in Delhi
Now talking about the subsidy of Delhi Government’s Solar Policy 2024, the Delhi Government is giving a subsidy of Rs 10,000. However, the Delhi government has said that it will provide generation based incentives for five years. Due to which it is being claimed that the entire cost of the solar panel will be recovered in four years. On installation of solar panels up to three kilowatts, an incentive of Rs 3 per unit will be given. That means if you produce 100 units of electricity, you will get three hundred rupees.
