Amidst the tussle between doctors and CMS at Deendayal Upadhyay District Hospital, the doctors’ organization Provincial Medical Services Association (PMS) has also come out in support of the doctors. Doctors have demanded his removal from CMS for doing arbitrary work, harassing doctors etc. If this does not happen, they have also threatened mass resignation.

At the same time, CMS also accused the doctors of negligence in work including not sitting in OPD on time. PMS meeting was held in IMA auditorium on Sunday. In this, the further strategy in this matter will be decided. 73 people (30 doctors, 43 paramedical staff) of the district hospital had signed a letter to the DM, Additional Director Health and CMO on Tuesday, demanding the removal of CMS within three days.

Also, if this did not happen, they had also warned of mass resignation and hunger strike. Many allegations were leveled against CMS including irregularly imposing duties, working on its own after appointing a nodal officer, taking arbitrary action and forcibly implicating others.

CMS also gave clarification to the district administration and made other allegations against the doctors including not sitting in the OPD on time, ordering medicines from outside. Provincial Medical Services Association Secretary Dr. RN Singh said that the meeting will be held in the IMA auditorium on Sunday. In this, the issue of the district hospital will be discussed by the officials and members.
