Bihar: Based on a secret information received by the Excise Department, a smuggler from Samastipur district has been caught. The smuggler who was running away with illegal liquor troubled the Excise Department a lot during this time. At present, the police is interrogating the arrested smuggler.

The incident is reported from Jagahipur Chowk of Sakra police station area of Muzaffarpur district. The liquor smugglers first hit the vehicle of the excise department which had gone to conduct a raid to seize liquor, due to which two vehicles of the excise department were damaged. The team chased the smuggler’s vehicle for about 5 kilometers after hitting it and caught him.
It is being told that the vehicle was loaded with liquor. The team has arrested a businessman Sudeep Rai. He is said to be a resident of Kalyanpur police station area of Samastipur district. Meanwhile, during interrogation, Sudeep has told that the liquor was to be delivered in Jakhra village of Kalyanpur police station area of Samastipur district. Sudeep has given the team the names and addresses of many other people involved in the liquor business.
In the whole case, Inspector Shivendra Kumar of the Excise Department said that on the information of liquor, the team was checking by putting up a blockade at Jagahipur Chowk in Sakra police station area. During this time, the driver of the liquor-loaded vehicle hit the team’s vehicle and started running. ASI Amarjeet of the Excise Department narrowly escaped in this.
