The police team reached the Congress office on Thursday morning to investigate the death of Congress worker Prabhat Pandey. According to DCP Central Raveena Tyagi, the statements of the caretaker of the Congress office will be recorded. CCTV footage will be confiscated. The people who called for the demonstration and those involved in it will be interrogated and everyone’s statements will be recorded. In the case of Prabhat Pandey’s death, his uncle Manish, resident of Vigyan Khand, Gomtinagar, has lodged an FIR of murder against unknown people in Hussainganj police station. According to Manish, Prabhat lived in a PG in front of Amity University. He received a call from the Congress office at 4:15 pm on Wednesday evening. It was told that your nephew was lying unconscious in the Congress office for two hours. Manish immediately sent his acquaintance Sandeep to Prabhat’s office.
According to Manish, Sandeep told him over the phone that Prabhat’s hands and feet have become cold. On pressure from Sandeep, some people from the Congress office took Prabhat to the civil hospital in an Innova car. Doctors declared Prabhat dead in the hospital. Manish says that Prabhat was preparing for competitive exams while staying in PG. He is not aware of how Prabhat reached the Congress office. Prabhat had not had any previous illness. It is alleged that it seems something untoward has happened to Prabhat and he has been murdered for unknown reasons. According to DCP Central Raveena Tyagi, prima facie according to the doctors, no visible injury was found on Prabhat’s body. Post mortem of the dead body will be done through panel along with videography. After this further action will be taken.
