Police stopped Sumaiya Rana in Amla

Sumaiya Rana, daughter of late poet Munawwar Rana and national spokesperson of SP, was stopped in Amla on Tuesday while going to Sambhal from Bareilly. SP workers also reached there after getting information about this. During this, slogans were raised against the police and administration. Later, when he told them to go to Shahbad, the police released him till the border of Rampur district.
LIU and police department became alert on the information of SP officials leaving Bareilly via Amla for Sambal late on Tuesday. When SP leader Sumaiya Rana stopped at the restaurant of Municipality Chairman Syed Abid Ali on Ramnagar Road, the Inspector reached the spot along with the police. Informed him about the situation in Sambhal and advised him not to go there.
A large number of SP workers gathered on receiving the information. He accused the police of working at the behest of the BJP government. Amidst the sloganeering and uproar, Sumaiya Rana said that she wants to go to Sambhal and meet the families of the victims. He also accused the BJP government. During this, Chairman Syed Abid Ali, Shajida Saba, Nadeem Yar Khan etc. were present.
