Politics:Aap suggested formula to Congress for alliance

Ahead of the meeting of opposition parties to be held on June 23, the Aam Aadmi Party has said that if the Congress gives up its claim from Delhi and Punjab, then there can be a national-level agreement between the two parties in the Lok Sabha elections. In return, the Aam Aadmi Party is ready to withdraw its claim from all the remaining states. Aam Aadmi Party believes that this will stop the division of votes against BJP and it can be given a big challenge at the national level. The Congress has not yet given any response to this ‘offer’ of the Aam Aadmi Party, considering the Congress’s big claim in Punjab, it is considered difficult for the Congress to agree to this formula of Arvind Kejriwal.

Bringing these two parties together was already being seen as a big challenge in front of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is trying for the unity of the opposition parties. But when leaders of both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party were invited to the unity meeting of the opposition parties to be held on June 23, it was indicated that Nitish Kumar had finally managed to bring the two parties together and rightly so. Consensus on seats will also be made on time. But suddenly before the unity meeting, the way the Aam Aadmi Party has thrown a googly for the Congress to give up the claim from Delhi-Punjab, once again the round of discussions has heated up.

how did it come to light

In fact, on Thursday Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj alleged that the Congress lacked leadership and issues. He alleged that the Congress was stealing his issues, and getting electoral victories (Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka) by including his issues in its manifesto. The Aam Aadmi Party is accused by Congress leaders of dividing the votes of the Congress by contesting elections in other states, paving the way for the victory of the BJP (as in the Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Goa assembly elections).

Since assembly elections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana later this year and the Aam Aadmi Party is making strong electoral preparations in these states as well, it is believed that due to this, the votes of the Congress may get divided. . BJP can get benefit from this.

In this sequence, Saurabh Bhardwaj said that if the division of votes is to be stopped, then the Congress should leave the two states of Delhi and Punjab for the Aam Aadmi Party. In return, he is ready to give up his claim in other states of the country.

But why should Congress compromise

A national level leader of the Congress told Amar Ujala that only after the unity meeting of the opposition parties, the national leadership of his party would consider any issue like an agreement with the AAP. But he said that Arvind Kejriwal should not get into any misunderstanding. They should remember that in the last Lok Sabha elections, the Congress had finished second in all the seven seats in Delhi. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party was swept clean on all the seven seats. The deposits of its candidates were forfeited on five seats. In such a situation, he should also consider these figures while making any kind of claim.

Situation changed in Punjab too

This time the Aam Aadmi Party has gained huge support in the Punjab Assembly elections. But it should also be noted that during that election the Congress was battling with heavy infighting. Due to mutual disputes between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Captain Amarinder Singh, the party suffered huge losses and Charanjit Singh Channi did not get full support of the leaders. Arvind Kejriwal got the benefit of this. But just as Rahul Gandhi has started efforts to bring together the scattered pieces of his party like in Karnataka and build a mutual consensus, the situation will change in Punjab as well. In such a situation, Congress will no longer be in a weak position in Punjab and the situation would have changed in the next elections.

Rahul Gandhi-Kharge did not give time to Kejriwal

It is worth noting that Kejriwal has so far got the support of about 10 parties on the issue of Delhi Ordinance, but even after several attempts by Aam Aadmi Party leaders, Rahul Gandhi or Mallikarjun Kharge have not yet had time to meet Arvind Kejriwal. Have given. Many senior party leaders like Ajay Maken are strongly against any alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party. In such a situation, there is no possibility of an agreement between the two parties. Meanwhile, the matter seems to be getting more complicated due to the Aam Aadmi Party throwing the googly of leaving Delhi-Punjab.

Congress came together in national interest – Priyanka Kakkar

Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar told Amar Ujala that if the BJP has to be stopped at the national level, then all the parties should come on one platform by removing their differences. He said that the Congress should also show big heart and give opportunities to other parties in those places where other parties are stronger. Whereas, where it is strong, other parties are ready to give up their claim for it.

He said that when Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi was creating hurdles in the functioning of the Congress government there, Arvind Kejriwal supported the Congress, rising above the mutual opposition of the party. Similarly, when Rahul Gandhi’s membership was terminated from the Parliament, even then he opposed it without worrying about political gain or loss. He said that in the same way the Congress should also think above the party.
