pollution certificate charges hike in delhi two wheelers four wheelers will have to pay this amount

PUC Certificate Charges: It is very important for all the drivers in India to have some documents related to the vehicle. Under the Motor Vehicle Act, it is very important for the drivers to have a PUC certificate (Pollution Under Control Certificate). Drivers who do not have a PUC certificate have to pay a hefty amount as fine. The pollution certificate shows the pollution level of the vehicle.

This tells us whether the vehicle is emitting more pollution than the prescribed limit. If there is no pollution certificate, then there will be no information about the car or bike. That is why it is necessary to have a pollution certificate. Now those who do not have a pollution certificate will have to pay more money for it. The Delhi government has made changes in this, let’s know what changes have been made regarding the charge.

Changes in the prices of pollution certificate

Now, in Delhi, drivers will have to pay more money than before to get a pollution certificate. Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has increased the fee for Pollution Under Control Certificate on July 10. Now the new fee has increased to Rs 80 for two-wheelers and three-wheelers. Whereas, for four-wheelers, Rs 110 will have to be paid to get a PUC certificate. Let us tell you that after about 13 years, the price of Pollution Under Control Certificate has been increased.

Earlier the prices were so much

After the year 2011, there have been changes in the prices of Pollution Under Control Certificate. Earlier, in Delhi, two-wheeler drivers had to pay Rs 60 to get Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate for bikes. Whereas for cars, they had to pay Rs 80. But now the price for bikes and three-wheelers has been increased by Rs 20. And for cars, the price has been increased by Rs 30.

Due to this the charges were increased

Talking about the increase in the charge, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the Delhi Petrol Diesel Organization had been demanding for a long time to increase the price of the certificate. Because pollution testing services cost a lot and due to this the government has now increased it. The Delhi government is working responsibly to keep the air quality in Delhi at the right level. Along with this, it is also ensuring that all vehicles are driven under pollution standards.
