On February 17, at the Kohinoor stage of the Government Industrial and Agricultural Exhibition, Haryanvi artist Pranjan Dahiya’s enthusiasm among the audience was so much that they were seen standing on their seats and dancing on the songs presented by him. Since the evening, the audience was desperate to get a glimpse of Pranjal Dahiya.
Pranjal made the people of Aligarh crazy with his style and singing. He spread such magic of tunes that everyone became convinced of him. The state of madness was such that the entire pandal was filled much before time. Enthusiasts of the songs were seen wandering throughout the day for passes to the program and fighting was witnessed outside the guest house of the exhibition. Many spectators could not even see a glimpse of Pranjal due to lack of passes. Not only this, many pass-holding spectators could not get entry even after pushing and shoving. The audience even abused the policemen on duty and even pushed them to get on the Kohinoor stage. The police were forced to resort to lathicharge. After which many spectators fell and got injured in the stampede.
However, the administration had made arrangements for live telecast on various social media platforms for complete entertainment of the audience. As soon as Pranjal reached the stage and started performing, the crowd outside started going out of control. People tried to enter the premises forcibly. During this time, the police had to use batons to control the crowd. Due to this the angry mob broke the barricading outside Kohinoor. Hoardings and posters were also torn. When the police resorted to lathicharge, a stampede broke out.
