In a conversation with a channel, Prashant Kishore said that BJP will do better this time than in 2019. PK said, BJP had won 303 seats in the last election. BJP is going to do better this time. PK said, out of the 303 seats that BJP won last time, we have to see where BJP won from. Out of these 303 seats, BJP won 250 seats in North-West. In such a situation, it has to be seen whether BJP is facing loss in this region this time. Is BJP losing more than 50 seats?
PK claims- BJP’s seats will increase in East and South
Prashant Kishor said, the second region is East and South. Bihar, Odisha, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. BJP currently has 50 seats in this region. But in this election, both the vote percentage and seats of BJP are increasing in these states. BJP’s seats are increasing by 15-20 in Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala. We should not get into how many seats are increasing in which state.
PK said, as Yogendra Yadav is saying, 272 seats are not coming. He is assuming around 268 seats. But despite this, he is assuming that BJP is coming back to power. People are assuming that BJP is facing a big loss in UP and Maharashtra.
What did PK say about UP, Bihar and Maharashtra?
He claimed, even if the opposition wins a maximum of 20-25 seats in Maharashtra, BJP currently has 23 seats in Maharashtra, which means the number of seats is not decreasing even then. Some people are saying that the number is decreasing in UP. But these people are forgetting that last time BJP had lost about 25 seats from Bihar and UP in comparison to 2014. Because SP-BSP had contested elections together. If someone is saying that BJP’s 20 seats are decreasing in UP, then I would say where has BJP suffered a loss. They have already lost 18 seats. BJP will suffer a loss only when BJP loses 40 to 50 seats. But neither the opposition nor the ruling party is saying this.
PK said, similarly, this is not seen in Bihar. Some people are saying that BJP is losing seats in Rajasthan and Haryana. But I have not found anyone yet who is saying that there is any state which the opposition is winning completely.
