Dilip Mishra, who has set up his shop under Village Industries in the Parade Ground of Prayagraj Magh Mela, says that Amla of Pratapgarh is considered to be the main source of Vitamin C. The fertility of the soil of Pratapgarh is such that it is supporting the Amla tree. Due to this, Amla of Pratapgarh is famous all over the world. Products including murabba, barfi, laddu are made from it, which are supplied to every corner of the country from Pratapgarh itself.
Many products are prepared from Amla
Dilip Mishra says that people like to eat Amla in the form of Lokpal, but through food processing it is prepared in many ways like Amla barfi, Amla murabba, laddu as well as chocolate candy, which children like to eat a lot. Amla barfi is available for Rs 160 per kg, half kg candy for Rs 160, a box of murabba for Rs 160 and juice for Rs 170 per litre.
It is beneficial for health
The reason behind the increasing demand for Amla is that it is very beneficial for health. The juice prepared from it is sugar free and is a major source of Vitamin C which helps in healing the liver. Apart from this, skin related diseases can be cured only by consuming Amla.

Under Khadi Village Industries, Amla shop has been set up in the parade ground which will remain open till March 3. This shop is open for everyone from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. After this, people will get the opportunity to buy the famous Amla of Pratapgarh in Pratapgarh itself.
