Prateik Babbar Opens up About Drug Addiction: Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar has recently talked about his drug addiction and his fight to get rid of it. He has also put an end to the rumors that Prateek started taking drugs after coming into the industry. He has also talked about the effects of drug addiction on his personal and professional life.
During a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Prateik talked about drug addiction and moving beyond it. Prateik, who has proven his acting prowess in Bollywood films like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Dhobi Ghat and series like Made in Heaven, talked about the misconception in which some people believed that he became an addict after coming into films.
Started drugs at the age of 12
Prateek said, “He started taking drugs when he was 12 and a half years old. I want to clarify that all this did not happen because of films. Unfortunately, I had a different upbringing and my family situation was a bit complicated. Because of that I started taking drugs.
Didn’t start drugs because of a lot of money
Prateik Babbar further said that – It is not that I came into films and got a lot of money, that is why I started taking drugs. I was into drugs for a long time. Prateik, son of late actress Smita Patil and actor Raj Babbar, also said that the trauma from early experiences affects their relationships.
Pratik has gone ahead of all this
Prateek said, “Drugs are linked to his trauma, so unless the trauma goes away, it will affect his relationships and other things in his life. But there comes a time when you have to work to get things right and I have been working on this for many years.
During this time, Prateek also talked about his fiancee and actress Priya Banerjee. He told that whatever improvement he made in himself, Priya was very supportive of him. Prateek tells that Priya is helping him to become better in many ways. And they are supporting each other to move forward.
