There will be no exemption in outstanding property tax of Municipal Corporation from April 1. According to Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Singh Sogarwal, those who do not deposit the dues will also have to pay simple interest at the rate of 12 percent per annum from April 1. He said that for the convenience of the people, this relaxation was given till December in the financial year 2023-24.

Considering the demand, this period was extended to March 31, 2024, but now this relaxation will not be given from April 1. According to the corporation administration, the Municipal Corporation has received more than Rs 37 crore from property tax in the current financial year 2023-24, which is about Rs 11 crore more than the previous financial year. Last year Rs 27 crore were received.
