Priyanka Gandhi on Modi Government Promises: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that he has repeatedly made hollow promises to 140 crore Indian citizens, thereby destroying the dignity of the country’s highest office. Priyanka made this comment after the Prime Minister’s comments on the election promises of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Prime Minister Modi had recently targeted the Congress and said that the party is now realizing that it is easy to make unrealistic promises, but it is difficult or impossible to implement them. Responding to this, Priyanka Gandhi said that the allegations made by PM Modi against Congress are beyond the truth.
‘Congress fulfilled its election promises’
Priyanka Gandhi said that Congress has not delayed in fulfilling its promises. The Congress General Secretary said that in states like Karnataka, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh, where there are Congress governments, steps have been taken to immediately fulfill the promises for the welfare of the people.
The Congress General Secretary said, “In every state, the Congress Party has started the work of fulfilling the promises made to the people, without waiting for the next elections, as soon as the government is formed. Be it Karnataka, Telangana or Himachal Pradesh, the Congress In the states with governments, public money is being put into people’s pockets every day through guarantees.” Priyanka also raised questions on many schemes of the Modi government, such as ‘100 day plan’, ‘taking opinion of 20 lakh people for the roadmap of 2047’, and ‘two crore jobs every year’.
Questions raised on BJP’s promises
Priyanka Gandhi said that BJP’s promises have been proved false and now the public has no faith in them. Priyanka said that instead of worrying about Congress, the Prime Minister should focus on restoring the dignity of his post by taking the help of truth. According to him, it is time that the Prime Minister shows seriousness about his promises and regains the trust of the countrymen.
