The Kerala Story: Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s film The Kerala Story is in the news. The film narrates the painful story of 32,000 victim girls, who were first converted to Islam through love jihad and then forced to join ISIS. A section is also opposing this film. Some people say that this film is just an agenda. As shown in its trailer, this has never happened in Kerala. Now Vipul Shah has spoken openly on this.
What agenda is The Kerala Story?
During the interview with ABP Live, Vipul Shah was asked that there is a section which says that this film has been made under agenda. What is your reaction to this controversy? In response, the filmmaker said, ‘This film is based on the true story of three girls. If this is a story of three girls, then how can it be a fake agenda. No one is able to answer this.
Hundreds of girls became victims of this
Vipul Shah further said, ‘I do not consider it a controversy. I believe that this is their agenda that how to suppress this thing. People should not pay attention to such a big conspiracy that is going on. When we were doing research for this film, we met hundreds of girls who have been victims of manipulative conversion, so how is this a fake film? Everyone has their own point of view but we stand by the truth.
This is how the idea of making a film came
Vipul Shah was asked from where did he get the idea of making this film, he replied, ‘I have a director, he brought me a script three years back. Then the script was not complete, only the story. He said that after doing a lot of research on this, he has made a documentary film on it. After that we started research. Kept doing research for a year so that there is no lie in our script. The issue is about the daughters of our country, so we did not want to do such a thing that people would say that this has never happened before.

The director further said, ‘Every single scene, every single line in this film is all true. When our script was ready, we decided to make this film. It took three years to make this film. It is known that this film of Vipul Shah will hit the theaters on May 5, 2023. Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani have played lead roles in this movie.
