Puja Khedkar News: A Pune court on Friday (July 8, 2024) granted bail to Manorama Khedkar, mother of former IAS Pooja Khedkar, in an attempt to murder case. A video of Manorama Khedkar had surfaced in which she was allegedly seen brandishing a pistol over a land dispute. After this, a case was registered against her. Meanwhile, a clip is going viral on social media, in which Manorama Khedkar is seen running away after being released.
Manorama Khedkar was released from Yerwada Central Jail after she was granted bail by a Pune court. When she came out of the jail, she was hiding to avoid the media. In the video, she is seen running and sitting in a car parked nearby and then the car is quickly taken out from there. According to Manorama Khedkar’s lawyer Sudhir Shah, the court has also imposed conditions on her.
Pune court granted bail to Manorama Khedkar
The court ordered the release of Manorama Khedkar on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and one or more sureties of the same amount. Manorama Khedkar’s threatening video came into the limelight when Pooja Khedkar’s selection in the civil services was under question. Union Public Service Commission (Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC)) has also taken action against trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar. UPSC cancelled the provisional candidature of Pooja Khedkar and barred her from appearing in any future examination.
