According to the report of the New York Post website, Auwaerter of Florida is 77 years old and lives with his wife and an Italian Mastiff dog named Roger (Old man saved dog from alligator) in his house near the Caloosahatchee River. He told that Roger likes water very much. As soon as they go near the river, he jumps into the water. Although he always goes to the river with her, but last year, one day something different happened.
Crocodile attacked the dog
As usual, he was walking the dog near the river. The man thought of sitting on the river bank. Then his dog went alone to swim in the river. He went to the river bank, which is slightly above the river level. In such a situation, when someone goes into the river, he disappears from the sight of the person sitting far away. Same thing happened with the dog also. After a few moments, the person heard the sound of something falling rapidly into the river. He immediately understood what could have caused such a sound. They understood that there was a big crocodile, which must have come to the shore.
Man saved dog’s life
He ran to the shore and saw that the dog was in the clutches of a crocodile. Auwaerter himself was a heavy weight lifter and had trained for years, so he ran towards the crocodile without fear and caught it and started saving the dog’s life. In between he noticed that his hand was inside the crocodile’s mouth. He tried to lift the front part of its body and throw it, and saved his dog from that 7 feet long crocodile. In this fight, the crocodile attacked his left thigh and also gave a deep wound to the dog. Even today he has that mark on his body. He immediately asked his wife to call 911 and rushed to the hospital.
