QS World University Ranking 2024 Out: QS World University Rankings for 2024 by QS Quacquarelli Symonds (QS World University Ranking 2024) has been released. 69 Indian universities have made it to the ranking. In which Jawaharlal Nehru University has been at the top from India. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is ranked 20th globally in terms of development studies.
This year, Britain’s dominance has been seen among the top 5 universities of the world in the field of development studies. The top 5 places in the QS World University Rankings include University of Sussex, University of Oxford, SOAS University of London, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and University of Cambridge.
JNU at 20th place
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has received an overall score of 81.3. With this score, JNU is at 20th place in this list. JNU has got 87.4 marks for academic reputation, 58.7 marks for employer reputation, 82.7 marks for paper citations and 70.3 marks for H-index citations.
IIM Ahmedabad also had dominance
A total of 1,559 institutions are included in the QS World University Rankings. In the ranking, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is included in the top 25 institutes across the world for business and management studies. Besides, IIM-Bangalore and Calcutta have also got a place in the top 50. This time, Chennai-based Savita Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) has secured 24th position in the world in terms of dental studies.

India has performed brilliantly this year in the QS World University Rankings. India’s entries in the subject-based ranking have increased by 19% and overall performance has increased by 17%. A total of 69 universities out of 424 Indian universities have made it to the subject-based rankings, up from 66 universities out of 355 entries last year.
