Raj Kumar used to increase fees even after flop films
According to reports, Raj Kumar had said in the interview, ‘I remember when one of my films flopped, I used to increase my fees by Rs 1 lakh. My secretary asked me, ‘Raj Saheb, the picture did not do well, you are adding another lakh.’ On this I said that whether the picture works or not, I did not fail, hence Rs 1 lakh will increase. I am telling this reality.
Actor Raj Kumar further said, ‘I do not regret that my films flop because I know that films have flopped due to weak scripts but I have improved every role of mine. I do justice to my role and work hard so I cannot reduce the fees. I have always said that the picture flopped, not me. Raj Kumar used to have a similar style.
Raj Kumar’s films
In the year 1952, Raj Kumar made his Bollywood debut with the film Rangeeli. After this, he did 70 films in his film career but out of them, films like Tiranga, Saudagar, Mother India, Pakija, Marte Dum Tak and Heer Ranjha were blockbusters. Raj Kumar’s last film ‘God and Gun’ was released in 1995. After this he died.

Raj Kumar was born on 8 October 1926 in Loralai (now in Pakistan) in British India. His real name was Kulbhushan Pandit. Raj Kumar married Jennifer, an Anglo-Indian and air hostess. They have three children Puru Raj Kumar, Vastavika and Pennini Rajkumar.

Raj Kumar has lived with dignity from the beginning and his dialogues in films were also written like this. The songs of the films were also composed keeping in mind his style. Even today people listen and dance to many songs of Raj Kumar in parties. Raj Kumar died on 3 July 1996 at the age of 69. According to reports, Raj Kumar died due to cancer.
