Speaking at an Indian Overseas Congress event, Rahul Gandhi said, “First of all, you have to understand that the fight is not about politics. It is very superficial. The fight is about whether a Sikh will be allowed to wear his turban or go to a gurdwara in India. It is not just for Sikhs, but for all religions. I see people here from Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Maharashtra. These are not just names; they represent your history, language and traditions.”
‘This is the ideology of RSS’
Rahul Gandhi further says, “The RSS is saying that some states, languages, religions and communities are inferior to others. But we believe that every state, tradition, religion, culture and language is as important as others. How would a person from Tamil Nadu feel if he is told that he cannot speak Tamil? This is the ideology of the RSS.”
Rahul says, “This is a fight for the kind of India we want – where people are free to believe, respect and speak as they wish or where a few people decide everything. The problem is that these people do not understand India. It is a confluence of languages, traditions, culture and history.”
BJP leader and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has reacted sharply to Rahul Gandhi’s statement made in America. The Union Minister has condemned Rahul Gandhi and said that we remember during whose rule the atrocities against Sikhs took place.

In a program at Georgetown University, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi compared India and China, referring to China’s production capacity. He said that the way China has made remarkable progress in production, a huge country like India has not been able to reach that level yet. Expressing concern over this, Rahul Gandhi said that India needs to make more efforts to increase its production capacity and compete at the global level.

The BJP MP told news agency ANI, “Despite being the leader of the opposition, he is criticizing India. He can criticize as much as he wants in the country’s Parliament.
