The supply department team raided a flour mill located at Khati Khana in Hathras city and seized 160 sacks of rice, wheat and millet. According to officials, this food grain was taken from moped drivers by the said mill operator. These moped drivers used to roam from street to street and bring food grains from ration card holders at cheap prices.
Which is sold to flour mills in this manner. After this the grains are sold in other districts. This action has created panic among those involved in black marketing of food grains. A case is being filed against the shop operator by the supply department.
Information was received about the stock of government ration rice, wheat and millet at a flour mill shop in Khati Khana of Kotwali Sadar area. On information, DSO Dhruvraj Yadav reached the spot along with the team and suddenly conducted a raid. Hand stitched sacks of wheat, millet and rice were found at the mill. The team separated the sacks of food grains. The mill operator used to purchase wheat, rice and millet from moped drivers. Stock was collected and sold to other districts.
District Supply Officer Dhruv Raj Yadav told that Sanjay Kumar has a flour mill in Khati Khana. No moped driver was found during the raid. The sacks of wheat, rice and millet are being separated. Everyone will be counted and weighed. The District Magistrate has also been informed. The seized goods are being kept at the disposal of the ration dealer. FIR is being lodged against the shop operator.
