Fine collected in NFR
According to news agency IANS, Sabyasachi Dey, Chief Public Relations Officer of NFR in Guwahati, said that necessary and effective campaigns were conducted by keeping a close watch on those traveling without tickets, under which Rs 10.65 crore was collected from those traveling without tickets from April 1 to May 19. A fine of Rs. 1000 was collected, which was deposited as a huge amount in the railway account. According to an official statement of the Railways, from the last financial year (financial year) April 2023 to March 2024, more than 7 lakh 93 thousand cases of ticketless passengers were detected in the NFR zone of the Railways. From which Rs 66.27 crore was recovered as fine.
Whereas in its last financial year i.e. 2022-2023, Rs 62.98 crore was recovered from 7,78,808 cases, in this way, if compared, 14,362 more cases were reported last year due to which 5.23 percent more income was received from criminals in the form of fine and rent. It has happened to the Railways.

Most ticketless travel takes place in the general coaches of the Railways. In such a situation, passengers often board the train without tickets in order to miss the train. In such a situation, Railways has solved this also and has started UTS facility for the passengers. Under this, general tickets can be purchased online only from UTS app. For this you will have to download the UTS app of Railways and by registering on it you will be able to book tickets online.
