Raj Bhavan employee accuses Odisha Governor’s son of assault know what is the matter?


Odisha News: Baikunthanath Pradhan, an employee of the Raj Bhavan in Puri, Odisha, has alleged that Governor Raghubar Das’s son and five others assaulted her husband on the night of July 7. However, there has been no official confirmation from the Raj Bhavan or the police regarding the incident.

Speaking to the media, Baikunthanath Pradhan’s wife Sayoj Pradhan alleged that her husband was beaten up because he did not send a luxury car to pick up the Governor’s son. She demanded legal action regarding the alleged attack on her husband.

In his complaint to the Governor’s Secretary, Shashvat Mishra, Baikunthanath Pradhan, Assistant Section Officer of the State Parliamentary Affairs Department deputed at the Raj Bhavan, alleged that Governor Das’s son Lalit Das assaulted him at the Puri Raj Bhavan on the night of July 7.

Giving information about the incident, Baikunthanath Pradhan said, ‘On the night of July 7, at around 11.45 pm, when I was sitting in the office room, the Governor’s personal cook Akash Singh came to my office and told me that Lalit Kumar wanted to meet him at Site No. 4. When I went there, Lalit Kumar started slapping me and used abusive language. Feeling helpless, I started running out of the room and hid behind the Annexe building.’

He further said, ‘Two PSOs of Lalit Kumar found me and dragged me to room number 4 through the lift. This incident was witnessed by the security personnel and others present there. During this, they again started slapping me and twisted my left ankle.’ Pradhan alleged that Lalit Kumar threatened to kill him if he told anyone about this.
