Rajasthan: Five people died allegedly due to heat stroke, temperature more than 48 degrees in Barmer


Rajasthan Weather: The scorching heat in Rajasthan has adversely affected normal life and five people have reportedly died due to heat stroke. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Barmer reached 48.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday, which is the highest this summer season. Officials said that five peacocks were found dead in Khairthal district.

The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘red alert’ for severe heat in many districts. According to the Meteorological Department, Barmer was the hottest on Thursday where the maximum temperature reached 48.8 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 48.6 degrees in Phalodi, 47.6 degrees in Fatehpur, 47.5 degrees in Jaisalmer, 47.4 degrees in Jodhpur, 47.3 degrees in Jalore, 47.2 degrees in Kota, 47 degrees in Churu, 46.8 degrees in Dungarpur, 46.5 degrees in Bikaner, 46.1 degrees in Sriganganagar, 46 degrees in Bhilwara and 45.4 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh.

According to the department, the maximum temperature in other areas of the state was recorded between 44.8 degrees Celsius to 42.2 degrees Celsius. Last night, the temperature in most parts of the state ranged between 34.6 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, the temperature in Phalodi was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius last night which is 8.8 degrees above normal. At other places in the state, the minimum temperature was recorded up to six degrees Celsius above normal.

Five people have reportedly died due to heat stroke in the state. Jalore district’s Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Rama Shankar Bharti said that four people, including a woman, were brought to Jalore district hospital from different places today where doctors said that they had already died.

He said, “Probably the death was due to heat stroke. The actual cause will be known in the post-mortem report.” He said that on Thursday a woman Kamala Devi (40), two others Chuna Ram (60), Popat Ram (30) and an unidentified person were brought to the district hospital who had already died.

Meanwhile, in the Pachpadara police station area of ​​Balotra district, two youths, Sahinder Singh (41) and Suresh Yadav, working in the Barmer Refinery, fell unconscious and were admitted to a hospital. Police said that Sahinder Singh died during treatment, while Suresh Yadav is undergoing treatment.

Five peacocks were found dead in Ismailpur village of Khairthal district and the reason for this is being said to be extreme heat. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no hope for the people of the state to get relief from this scorching heat yet. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to increase by two to three degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours.

In the next five days, intense heatwaves will continue in many parts of the state and hot nights will continue in some places. The department has issued a ‘red alert’ for this.
