Rajendra Kumar Son Kumar Gaurav Flopped After First Hit Know About His Films And Career

There are many actors and actresses in Bollywood who have got the benefit of being starkids. Many of those actors are among the big faces of the industry today. But it does not always happen that every star kid who easily gets entry into Bollywood is able to become a star later on. The name of one such star kid is Kumar Gaurav.

Kumar is the son of Gaurav Rajendra Kumar, whose real name is Manoj. He was launched in films in the 80s under the name Kumar Gaurav. His first film ‘Love Story’ was released in 1981. After which Kumar Gaurav became one of the big stars of Bollywood, but time had something else in mind.

Kumar Gaurav became popular after the first film
This was also the first film of Vijayta Pandit, who was cast with Kumar Gaurav in his first film ‘Love Story’. This film became one of the biggest hits of that year. The music and new faces of the film became the reason for the film becoming a hit. After this, Kumar Gaurav started ruling the hearts of the audience. He started being considered an amazing young actor. He remained in the limelight more than his other contemporary starkid actors like Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol. He even got more attention than the newcomers Aamir, Salman and Shahrukh at that time.

After the first hit, I longed for the second hit.
After earning name from his first film, it took 5 years for Kumar Gaurav to get his next hit film. ‘Naam’ released in 1986 was a hit, but the limelight of the film was taken by her co-actor Sanjay Dutt. In the intervening 5 years, he worked in about 9 films, but all of them were flops. After this he did 13 flop films for about one and a half decade. During this time, when he realized that nothing good was happening for him in Bollywood, he turned towards business.

Made a comeback again with a multi-starrer hit film.
Kumar Gaurav made a comeback after a long time with Sanjay Gupta’s 2002 big hit ‘Kaante’. His work in the film was praised, but this time actors like Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan were sharing the screen with him. Therefore, he did not get much benefit from that praise. His last films were 2006’s ‘My Daddy Strongest’ and 2009’s ‘Aloo Chaat’. After this, Kumar Gaurav never turned towards the screen again. Currently Kumar runs a construction company in Mumbai.
