These days Rajkumar Rao is in the news for his upcoming film ‘Stree 2’. His film is releasing on 14th August in which Shraddha Kapoor will also be seen with him.
Earlier, Rajkumar Rao had appeared in the film ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’. During the promotion of this film, he gave an interview to Karan Johar in which he told that he had lost the film because of a star kid.
In this interview on Dharma Production’s YouTube channel, Rajkumar Rao said- ‘When I came to Mumbai, I was told that you have to go to parties. Making contacts is not an issue, but you are not going to say in any party that hi I am here to make contacts. But this is not going to happen.’
Rajkumar Rao further said- ‘After saying this, I had to do a film, but then suddenly I was not in that film overnight. This role was given to someone who is famous and a star kid.’
The actor further said- ‘I think this was not right. Just because you can control things, you know some people, you can call, this should not be done. But yes, this has happened.’
Let us tell you that Rajkumar Rao made his Bollywood debut in the year 2010 with Dibakar Banerjee’s film LSD.
On the work front, the actor will now be seen in ‘Stree 2’. Apart from this, he also has the film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ in the pipeline in which actress Tripti Dimri will also be seen with him.
